Hydrogen Alpha is proud to announce HαLIDE – the Hydrogen Alpha Library of Digitised Exploration. Built to protect and share over sixty years of fragile space heritage, HαLIDE will open access to thousands of original artefacts from across the space age.
From mission flight plans and annotated checklists to patches, medals and recovery logs, more than 2,500 unique items have been carefully digitised at ultra-high resolution. Every crease, pencil mark and note survives in detail, preserving the human story behind exploration.
HαLIDE is not simply an archive. It is a living resource, designed to grow and adapt. Working with educators, researchers and heritage partners, Hydrogen Alpha will refine the platform ahead of launch – building powerful tools for discovery, teaching and public engagement.
By capturing these artefacts before they fade, HαLIDE ensures that the history of exploration remains visible for generations to come.
Hydrogen Alpha will release further details of the platform and its early access programme in the months ahead.
